Nutrition Education Program (NEP)
The UK Cooperative Extension Nutrition Education Program is grant-funded through two USDA programs: the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed). Our goals are to educate people of all ages on topics specific to nutrition, food safety, and physical activity. You can join us for one of our fun classes (see the list below), or you may see us at your local school, encouraging youth to try new foods, read a fun book with us, or be more physically active.
Plan. Eat. Move.
Feeling better happens one small step at a time and soon you’ll be eating well, planning good meals, and moving more. So, take a look at some of our tips and even take a free class.
